Strawberry Oat Milk

Strawberry oat milk is a lovely sustaining cold drink or morning blend for cereals.  Blending frozen strawberries or adding ice with oats and water makes a “not slimy” cold oat milk ready in under a minute!

 

This recipe is a fun, affordable, sustainable approach to waste-free, plastic-free, and plant-based living.  Unlike some other plant-based milk, this recipe does not require sieving, straining or squeezing in nutbags – blend and enjoy.

  • 1 ½ cups strawberries - fresh | frozen
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp rolled oats
  • 1 cup ice if using fresh strawberries
  • honey | maple - if you need sweetness

Method

 

Strawberry Oat Milk

 

ADD all ingredients into a high-speed blender. Blend for 30 – 45 secs until smooth + creamy; do not over-blend.

 

TASTE – blend a little more if there is any texture – add vanilla if you want to add flavour, honey or maple if you need the sweetness.

SWAP WATER you can use orange juice or fresh apple juice in place of water; the flavour will change.
