Foraging and Harvesting
Know your plants and what part of each plant to harvest and when.

Tread lightly and harvest carefully to avoid damage to the plant or habitat.

PLEASE take only a small amount of plant material ~ leave more than 3/4 for regeneration, pollinators and wildlife.

Know where you are harvesting, take care to stay away from roadsides, industrial areas and areas where chemicals are sprayed.

Preserve and protect our endangered and at-risk wild medicinal plants, their habitats and the environment. Know your plants and habitats and what’s endangered and what’s sustainable; United plants savers can help, as can your local communities resources.  www.unitedplantsavers.org

United Plant Savers’ mission is to protect native medicinal plants of the United States and Canada and their native habitat while ensuring an abundant renewable supply of medicinal plants for generations to come.
