• lettuce • radicchio • carrots

A beautiful summery salad adorned with edible flowers.  Nasturtiums have a light peppery, herbaceous flavour both the flowers and the leaves are edible and loved by gardeners and pollinators alike, from bees to hummingbirds.

An annual plant is very easy to grow and makes a wonderful companion plant as pests like Aphids are attracted to them which helps keep them away from your more delicate plants.  Nasturtiums continuously flower throughout the growing season.

SWAP radicchio for red cabbage, napa cabbage or other leafy greens.

DELICATE nasturtium flowers should not be washed as they will go slimy.  If you want to wash flowers water before you pick them, let them dry on the plant, then pick the flowers.  Nasturtium flowers wilt quite quickly after picking, so use immediately, put in a vase with water or in the salad covered in the fridge.
