PICK Nasturtium flowers and small leaves. Check for Aphids as they do love Nasturtium, making it a great companion plant.
WASH VEGETABLES & SPIN lettuces. Radicchio – finely slice. PEEL carrot & continue peeling the whole carrot creating ribbons. Finely slice Cubanelle pepper or any other veg your using.
MIX ALL ingredients – except FLOWERS – in a bowl and combine well. GARNISH with nasturtium flowers
SWAP radicchio for red cabbage, napa cabbage or other leafy greens.
ADD radishes, snow peas or snap peas, cucumber, cherry tomatoes
DELICATE nasturtium flowers should not be washed as they will go slimy. If you want to wash flowers water before you pick them, let them dry on the plant, then pick the flowers. Nasturtium flowers wilt quite quickly after picking, so use immediately, put in a vase with water or in the salad covered in the fridge.
