Lemon Celery Herb Tonic

A lite and bright way to kick off the day and boost your bodies natural detoxification.  This tonic is digestive cleansing + alkalizing + detoxifying + high fibre + nutrient-dense. 

 

A high-speed blender will make a smooth tonic! A juicer will give you a LOW FIBRE tonic with all the benefits.

 

The ginger adds a little warmth to balance the energetic cooling of the fruits + herbs and boost digestion. Ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal making this smoothie a great cleansing immune-supportive tonic food as medicine.

BASED

  • 1 lemon - peeled & diced
  • Fresh ginger piece 2.5cm | 1'' - peel + slice
  • 1 celery stalk + a few leaves
  • 2 - 4 sprigs Parsley
  • 1 sprig mint leaves - if you love it!
  • 2 -3 cups water

SWAP | ADD IDEAS

  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • 1 kiwi - peel + dice
  • ½ - 1 apple
  • ½ - 1 orange - peel + dice

Method

Lemon Celery Herb Tonic

 

WASH, peel, + roughly chop ingredients to make it easier to blend.

 

ADD all ingredients into a blender jug and blend until smooth. 

 

TASTE if you need sweetness, add Kiwi or Orange.  If too thick, ADD WATER.

 

STORE extra in the fridge and drink within 24hours.  You may need to reblend as it will separate.

PARSLEY + MINT start with small amounts & taste, and over time, as you get used to the different flavours, add more herbs.
