Instant Pot Beef Broth

Bone-broth one of the very oldest healing kitchen elixirs across the ages.  Traditional wisdom knew of bone broth’s health benefits and gut-healing properties long before modern science had to prove it.

To me, the restorative health benefits of bone broth depend entirely on where the bones came from and how that animal was raised and the kind of life it led.  I need to know the wheres & hows with my food – bones for bone-broth is no exception.

The Instant Pot makes a true bone-broth in hours as opposed to days on the stovetop.   Melissa Clark absolutely nailed this recipe; this is her recipe with adjustments how I make it – it is great bone broth – know your bones.

Tips + Suggestions

**BEEF BONES from pasture-raised, outdoor happy cows.  Meaty bones with marrow are what you are ideally looking for.  Local farms often have their bones in the freezer for sale – they make the best broth!

KNOW YOUR BONES by getting to know and supporting your local farmer!  Making broth from Animals that were raised with lots of antibiotics + hormones + GMO grains + in feedlots and unnatural ways is not a health elixir.
