Use either fresh ginger, crystallized ginger or preserved stem ginger. A celebratory drink with benefits, ginger is an excellent anti-inflammatory; fresh oranges + cranberries are high in vitamin C. Cranberries are healing for the urinary tract and help to lower blood sugar.

Fresh Cranberry, Orange & Ginger Fizz
WASH + zest orange and set zest aside to use as a garnish. Peel and dice oranges and ginger. Wash cranberries,
BLEND – I use a high-speed – add water, cranberries, diced oranges + ginger* – blend until smooth.
TASTE add more ginger or a dash of maple or honey if you need the sweetness.
POUR into serving glasses and top off with sparkling water, prosecco, sparkling white wine, or champagne.
SERVE garnished with orange zest.
FIZZ = sparkling water, sparkling white wine, prosecco, champagne, sparkling apple cider, ginger beer or kombucha.
*GINGER – start with 2 tsp grated fresh ginger OR 2-3 pieces crystallized or candied preserved stem ginger ~ blend & taste. Add more to taste if you love ginger and want that warming zing.
ORANGES – use fresh peeled or swap for orange juice – freshly squeezed will have the most vitamins.
PREP in advance and store in the refrigerator – add bubbles when you serve.
CRANBERRIES use fresh or frozen = high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fibre; excellent for treating urinary tract infections & kidney issues.
