Simple Crispy Salad

Crispy Lettuce ∙ Purple Radish ∙ Carrot

A simple 3 ingredient salad with crispy lettuce greens + purple radish + carrot.  This is a great salad for baby greens or Romaine or the crispy classic Iceberg Lettuce.  Seasonally this works well in the cooler months for using those root vegetables. 

 

I like to serve this with my lemony dijon mustard salad dressing as it adds a little warmth to aid digestion.  Taste great sprinkled with Immune Supportive Seed Snack

  • 4 handfuls | 4oz|100g crispy lettuces*
  • 1 purple daikon radish
  • 1 large orange carrot

Method

Simple Crispy Salad

 

WASH & spin baby lettuce leaves.  If using Iceberg lettuce slice in 12 wedges then slice wedges across in ½. If using Romaine cut in quarters then chop ¼ wedges across into ⅓s.

 

WASH peel + slice purple radish + carrot into julienne | matchstick style – see photos for knife skills,

 

IN A SALAD BOWL toss all ingredients together gently.

 

SERVE as is or with our Lemony Dijon Mustard Salad Dressing or Dill Tahini Sauce or whatever you fancy!

 

STORE without any dressing in an airtight container in the fridge. Dressed salad will go soggy when stored.

SWAP purple radishes for any radish.  You do not have to peel smaller red radishes.
