MIX

  • 2 cups pumpkin seeds
  • ⅓ cup cacao | cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup tahini
  • ½ cup chia seeds
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • ⅓ cup raisins | currants

ROLL

  • Coat in shredded coconut, seeds, cacao or berry powder

Method

Chocolate Tahini Bliss Balls

ADD all ingredients to a food processor, and blitz for 45 sec to 1½ mins until the mix is well-blended dough.

ADD tahini or maple syrup if you need a little moisture, so your mixture will stick together well when rolled into a ball.  Scrape sides down a few times to ensure the mixture is evenly smooth and well combined.

TASTE and adjust sweetness | nuttiness, and chocolate to your liking.  As you add things, the texture will change & may need balancing.

ROLL into small bite-sized balls.

COAT rolled balls in the fine coconut, seeds or cacao powder as you like.  Do this by putting the coating into little bowls and rolling around the bliss balls to coat.

STORE in an airtight container in the fridge – they need to chill and firm up before serving.

SERVE as part of a dessert spread with fruit salad, a sweet treat snack, or an energy bite.
