Seeds are a great substitute for nuts as they are more affordable and not as allergenic for many people.

 

Seeds like flaxseeds and Chia, when ground and water is added, create a gel.  This is a great substitute to use in place of eggs in baking for egg-free + vegan recipes.  The gel has a binding quality in certain gluten-free recipes. These seeds help thicken juices, fruits, milk & plant milk to create puddings and parfaits, which, when eaten, have a cleansing effect on our digestive system.
