Dried Fruit
Dried fruit has been dried – whole or sliced – naturally in the sun or using dehydrators and food dryers. When fruit dries, a lot of the moisture content is removed, and the flavours and natural sugars are concentrated, which is why dried fruits taste so sweet.
Dried fruit is a healthy choice for adding a little sweetness as the minerals and fibre in the fruit helps to keep the blood sugar more stable + is a food source instead of refined sugars, which are empty calories. Dried fruits are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fibre that can help aid our digestion and immune system.
